Though weather was bad at Wendling on this day, take-offs began around 1030 hours for (24) aircrews for this mission. The Group was forced to bomb PFF through a solid undercast, releasing (191) 1000# GP bombs with results unobserved. No enemy aircraft were encountered but flak damage to (14) ships was received. One crew member was slightly injured but no other aircrew or aircraft casualties were experienced. The recovery weather at Wendling was poor necessitating all airplanes landing at Tangmere in southern England. All aircrews began returning the next day individually with the last landing at 1400 hours.
